Morning everyone
Dull and windy here so I hope the sun pops out later. I didn't get on yesterday as little one stayed on Friday night. Other than put washing out and bring it back in, I spent the day playing with her in the summerhouse, which she is thrilled with. Playing cafes, reading, drawing, games, lunch...everything was done in there. At one point I was lying on the floor shouting help while she was the ambulance rushing down the garden to me!
We also went into the nearest field to fly her new kite...which turned out to be bigger than I thought and looked great up in the sky and was also easy for her to fly.
Little one said it was her best day ever, which just shows you don't have to spend a load of money to make them happy, just time.
Eldest DD is doing another of her weird Hyrox competitions today, this time in Berlin. She's been there with a friend since Friday.
Izzy you gave me a laugh with your story of OH and the chemist.
I can't remember who had problems with Sky, I did too...I was watching a recorded Eastenders on Thursday night and the screen kept going black. I thought it might be my TV cos it's quite old, but then it was ok on Friday so I was glad to hear it wasn't just me.
I'm going down to mam and dads this morning, he wants some more books put on his tablet. Then I'm going out for Sunday lunch with DD and little one, my treat ,,,her driving. Sort of money saving as I have a voucher for 30%off main meals.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Dull and chilly here at the moment, about to hang some washing out, will it rain ?Had a lovely day on Friday, went to the National Horse Racing museum in Newmarket with a group I belong to
not at all what I was expecting ,it’s had millennium and lottery money plus big donations ( rich owners ) and is v swish
more importantly the staff were all happy, friendly and helpful ,very good restaurant ( most of us had lunch there ,saves cooking in the evening)
and opposite the entrance building that is all that remains of Charles 2nd house of entertainment ( ill repute !) Nell Gwynnes cottageis just down the road .
metsome beautiful horses and learned a lot ,well worth it .
stay safe all10 -
Morning all
Lovely bright day here again we have been so lucky with the weather, OH has his work clothes in the wm and there is another load to go in after they should dry well today.
We picked up the car for FIL yesterday and he is thrilled with it, I popped into a local shop on the way back and wouldn’t you know it some pesky plants jumped into my basket 🙄 when I got back my hanging baskets had been delivered and some brackets that go over concrete fence posts so I shall spend a happy couple of hours out in the garden later.
I might go and do the shopping today as well but I might leave it till tomorrow will see how I feel.
Dinner tonight will be bbq, dd is working a late shift so just OH and I here for dinner.
Camelot that was very lovely of the tax man 😃
I have a zoom appointment tomorrow with a free service that track down missing pensions I have discovered 4 myself and there were a few more which have been surrendered I think to merge them with others, but I will use this service to see if there are others lurking anywhere.
Snoozer I hope you all feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
