The prize (the ‘Prize’) for the winner and one guest (the guest will have to be at least 18 years, unless the winner is the parent or guardian of the minor guest), includes:
2.1.1 Travel: UK to Paris on 4th July 2025 and Paris to UK on 6th July 2025. Transportation (flights or train) will be arranged directly with the winner.
2.1.2 Transfers: roundtrip transfers in Paris from airport or train station to hotel accommodation.
2.1.3 Accommodation: two nights at the Mama Shelter Paris East Hotel (or equivalent at the sole discretion of the Prize Provider) on 4th and 5th July 2025 in a double room with a queen size bed for two persons with breakfast included.
2.1.4 Japan Expo: 3-day access for Japan Expo 2025 for the winner and guest plus VIP access to Crunchyroll’s booth.
2.1.5 Transport: roundtrip taxi from the hotel to Japan Expo 2025 at times set by the Prize Provider.
2.1.6 Travel insurance. Note: it is the responsibility of the winner and/or their guest to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical condition and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their guest are aged 70 or over.
2.2 The following are expressly excluded:
2.2.1 transportation to and from the airport or train station in the UK.
2.2.2 all food except breakfast at the hotel.
2.2.3 personal and extra expenses.
2.2.4 tips.
2.2.5 at the hotel; personal expenses (eg; telephone, room service).
2.2.6 activities and excursions not included in the Prize as listed above.
2.3 All hotel expenses must be paid directly by the winner to the hotel before their departure.
2.4 The total value of the Prize is estimated at €1500.
2.5 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable. There is no cash alternative to the Prize.
2.6 The Prize Provider reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the control of the Prize Provider makes it necessary to do so.
2.7 HMV reserves the right to temporarily suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or due to circumstances beyond its control, and will use reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect on entrants to avoid disappointment.

3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
3.1 By entering this Prize Draw you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions that are published on this page (the ‘Terms’) and that are specific to this Prize Draw.
3.2 The entry instructions, wherever they may be published, form part of the Terms.
3.3 In the event that there are additional terms, (the ‘Additional Terms’), the Additional Terms shall appear at the foot of these Terms and shall form part of the Terms and shall apply to this Prize Draw only.
3.4 In the event of any conflict between the Terms and the Additional Terms, the Additional Terms will prevail.

4. HOW TO ENTER THE PRIZE DRAW
4.1 By signing up to the HMV mailing list and completing all other entry requirements within these Terms, you will be eligible to enter the Prize Draw. You do not have to make a purchase.
4.2 Enter the required information on the relevant form on hmv.com.
4.3 Your entry into the Prize Draw will be registered as soon as the completed form has been submitted.
4.4 You may unsubscribe from our mailing lists at any time by following the instructions on each marketing email you will receive from us. Unsubscribing shall not affect your entry to the Prize Draw in any way.

5. PRIZE DRAW START AND CLOSING DATE
5.1 The start date is 16/05/25.
5.2 The closing date is 23:59 on 30/05/25.
5.3 Any entries received after the closing date will not be included.

6. ELIGIBILITY
6.1 The Prize Draw is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (unless a higher age is specified in any Additional Terms).
6.2 Unless noted otherwise in the Additional Terms, an entry into the Prize Draw shall be made when the requested information is submitted. Only one entry per person is permitted. Use of multiple identities is not permitted.
6.3 Employees (and their immediate families) of HMV or any of its group, affiliated or associated companies, agents, and of any Prize Provider(s) (defined below), or any other person connected with the Prize Draw are not permitted to enter.
6.4 HMV reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants to enter the Prize Draw.
6.5 No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind beyond the control of HMV.
6.6 If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms by an entrant, HMV may, at its sole discretion invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from entry to the Prize Draw.
6.7 Where entry to a Prize Draw requires the consent of a parent or guardian, this is the responsibility of the entrant.

7. ALLOCATION OF THE PRIZE
7.1 The winner(s) will be selected by means of a draw using a random computer process from all valid entries received once the Prize Draw has closed.
7.2 The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
7.3 Where there is a question to answer or additional information to be provided, such information must be correct and supplied in full to be included in the Prize Draw.
7.4 If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms, HMV reserves the right to re-draw and select an alternative winner.
7.5 The Prize is subject, where applicable, to any additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier of the Prize, or where applicable, individual elements of the Prize.
7.6 The Prize shall be delivered to the United Kingdom address that has been registered with us by the winner(s) (or supplied to us by other means) and within a reasonable time, unless (i) stated otherwise in the Additional Terms, (ii) the Prize is entry to an event, (iii) the Prize is not deliverable, or (iv) the Prize is to;be collected from an HMV store.
7.7 HMV shall not be liable where a Prize has been lost, damaged or stolen following delivery and in such case a Prize shall not be replaced.

8. NOTIFICATION OF PRIZE(S)
8.1 Unless stated otherwise in any Additional Terms, HMV shall notify the winner(s) within seven (7) days from the advertised closing date for entries.
8.2 HMV shall send the winner(s) one email and shall attempt to contact the winner(s) once by phone by using the email address and telephone number that was submitted at the time of entry. Where possible a message will be left on voicemail. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that a valid email address and a contact phone number is submitted.
8.3 If HMV has not received a response from a winner within twenty-four (24) hours either by email or telephone to confirm that they can accept the Prize, or where a winner does not meet any of the eligibility requirements, HMV reserves the right to redraw and a new winner will be selected.
8.4 HMV cannot accept responsibility for any emails that do not reach the intended recipients for any reason whatsoever, including emails that may be flagged as spam.
8.5 The decision of HMV regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
8.6 To the fullest extent permitted by law, HMV and any associated third party involved in the administration of this Prize Draw (including without limitation the Prize Provider) excludes liability for any losses, damage or claims incurred by any person in connection with the Prize Draw or receipt or misuse of any Prize.
8.7 Nothing in these Terms shall affect your statutory rights.

9. EVENTS
9.1 This section of the Terms only applies where the Prize includes entry to an event. If the Prize does not include entry to an event, you should disregard the contents of this section.
9.2 By entering any date-related Prize Draw, HMV is not responsible for any winner who cannot attend.
9.3 When dates and times are specified for the Prize they cannot be altered.
9.4 If a parent or guardian (where the Prize includes access for a parent or guardian) cannot accompany a winner to an event with an age restriction, the Prize shall be forfeited.
9.5 Where the Prize involves travel to a venue, winner(s) are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and all other expenses (including those of any guest, parent, or guardian, where relevant) unless specified otherwise in any Additional Terms.
9.6 Identification and proof of age may be required and must be in the name of the entrant (guest, parent or guardian, where relevant).
9.7 Access to an event may be subject to additional terms which are imposed by the venue.
9.8 HMV cannot accept responsibility for any winner (guest, parent or guardian, where relevant) refused entry to an event for any reason beyond the control of HMV.
9.9 Where a Prize includes a meet and greet element with artist(s), this may be subject to the availability of the artist(s) at the event and HMV shall have no liability in the event that this element of the Prize is cancelled and nor will HMV offer an alternative prize or cash alternative or compensation in such an event.
9.10 You hereby consent to be filmed or photographed at the event and that HMV, its associated companies, and any provider of the Prize may use such photographs and/or video footage in any and all media in perpetuity throughout the world as HMV, its associated companies and any provider of the Prize sees fit and without further consent.

10. WINNERS
10.1 The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with the Prize Draw and it is a condition of entry that entrants agree to their name being made publicly available if they win.
10.2 HMV must make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the name(s) and county of the winner(s) will be available on written request by sending a stamped addressed envelope within one month of the closing date and stating clearly which Prize Draw the request relates to, to: HMV Prize Draw Winner Details, Mermaid House, Puddle Dock, Blackfriars, London, EC4V 3DB, United Kingdom.
10.3 If you are a winner and you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being made available, please email legal@hmv.co.uk. In such circumstances, HMV must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
