SIP PCN from Lligwy beach North Car Park.

I have unfortunately picked up another PCN from above scam operators in a remote part of North East Anglesey. I appealed with the template letter but unsuccessful, as expected.
Please see copy of the email I sent to SIP to complain the SAME day (11/04/25) I was unable to pay.
I would like to know if the recommended next step is to sit tight. I have NOT received a reply to the complaint, sent by email. They gave 28 days. I have purposely removed the registration number from the email.
"To Whom it may concern
I am writing to complain that I have been unable to pay for parking today 11/04/2025 at Lligwy Beach North. I arrived at approximately 15.28 hours. I attempted to pay for 2 hours parking but the machine failed to connect and returned my money. I also tried with a bank card, as did another person, and this method failed too, due to a connection issue flashing on the screen of the machine. I was unable to call the number or pay by the parking app. as I had no phone or internet signal at this remote location. I have now returned to my holiday home in Anglesey but I am unable to pay for a parking event that was in the past few hours.
I have now exhausted all avenues of payment apart from the remaining option that will only take a payment for future parking on the app.
I am happy to pay for the 2 hours parking but certainly not for a PCN charge. Please advise on parking for a past parking payment.
Regards....."
NB I have photos of the machine and the sign.
I also presume that Anglesey Council in Llangefni are quite happy with the outcome of scaring tourists away who spend a fortune on their Island.

I think it's reasonable for you to reply to the PCN attaching proof of your complaint and tell them you want to see evidence that the systems were working. You won't try the IAS farce so you'll see them in court if they persist.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad . I will write to them and send the photographs. Otherwise I will definitely see them in court, if they see fit.1

They'll just say "well you should have called us, or left the car park", which is obviously ludicrous.
They just start to look completely unreasonable when they try to act entirely in character by waffling on about their £100 contractual charge.
They could either invoice you the money they should have collected, or just accept a faulty machine and collecting zero pounds for the day is a risk in their area of business, just as it was when a man in a hut was hungover and didn't turn up to work. There comes a point when you just have to suck it up and stop trying to fleece people.4 -
I agree and I have a photo of the sign and its says absolutely nothing about a £100 contractual charge.1

This is the SIP sign on Lligwy beach North car park with zero option to pay as the machine failed to connect and in a very remote location.

They quite often have a terms and condition board separate from the tariffs board.
Common tactic. Place them far apart and make them the same colour so they look like a duplicate sign from a distance.2 -
What a nasty piece of work by SIP.. Do you reckon this is a likely win for me in court?0
-
They might claim there are instructions to use an alternative payment method, but there is
no £100 charge for failing to do so on that sign.
SIP don't use DCB and so only tend to go to court on "safer" cases. I wouldn't be risking court on this if I was SIP.
But worth contacting them and telling them so at least they know and you don't go on the "just didn't pay" pile.2 -
Thanks for that. I will try writing.0
