Morning All
Brilliant sunshine this morning, the washing is on the line already and the greenhouse opened - it's non stop watering in there!
I had a much needed haircut yesterday and a good chat with my cousin (my Aunt's son) about the funeral and his (and everyone else's) ongoing feud with his sister, she really is quite horrid.
Glad it's Friday, this cold has now turned into an ever running nose and head fog, will be glad to see the back of it but it's certainly hanging on.
Hope you're feeling better Ruby.
Glad the procedure went well TA.
Well done to those invigilating, don't think I could keep still or quiet enough for that!
Hope you're all well, take care. XX13 -
Morning allLooking a bit more cheerful out there today and the temperature is predicted to be a bit warmer too.Watching Vera on tv last night when Sky decided to give up the ghost 15 minutes before the end so an early night. Got to find out whodunnit now!Off out food shopping later on and not much going on after that.Have a good day all x14

Morning again. It's not as bright as yesterday although there's time. It was glorious in the afternoon, it almost makes up for the miserable 18 months we've had but want more of the sun.The exam paper yesterday was incomprehensible to me, didn't understand the questions or the equations. Happily, I didn't have to, the students seemed OK with it afterwards. Now I've got a very small wash in the machine, had to scratch around for stuff, and am having my first coffee. I don't have plans for today yet, perhaps something exciting will swoop in.I hope that everyone is doing well, hugs and good vibes to all.12

Good morning
A sunny start to the day. Yesterday stayed dull all day, and last night we lit the fire.
Yesterdays trip to Asd* didn't disappoint. They sent a text to activate when in the store to click and collect. Didnt work. So went to Customer services who then sent me somewhere else, had to wait for a colleague to turn up who then went to get the item. I say it every time, never again. No split peas or tins of pease pudding. On the way out I noticed only one checkout was open, this being Thursday afternoon. They want everyone to use the self service tills.
Ok, moan over. Last night we had kievs, salad and coleslaw, I'm thinking maybe tonight will be either fish finger sarnies or cheese and ham toasties, something nice and easy. Other than that no plans for today, OH will no doubt be practising using the milk frother, so coffee made for me.
Have a good day everyone, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.13 -
Morning all. It was 17 degrees in here when I came down but the sun's out now.
Busy day ahead as we are in sole charge of both grandchildren from lunchtime onwards as DD and her husband are being treated to Afternoon Tea at The Ritz; a late 40th birthday present from another couple they are friends with. It means we have to do both school and childminder pick up and then sort food and possibly bedtime, depending on when they get back. Better get my feet up now so I'm ready for action later
TA: I hope all is still well with your eyes. Someone I know just removed the lens from one side of his glasses post operation and that worked well for him.
Happy Friday everyone x10 -
Morning folks and excuse me if I am typing nonsense. I am having good and bad results from the procedure. I can see distance better with my right eye but trying to read is nigh on impossible. Although he did tell me I will still need varifocals or reading glasses as I have mild astigmatism. Tomorrow when I go down to pick up my meds I am going to try some off the shelf reading specs and see if any help.
It will be a very half hearted Friday Tidy as I haven't to bend over or do any lifting, So that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! CHRISCA I am in a similar position as you - not the end of Vera but the end of the book I was reading which I can't see! I am typing and reading this back on zoom. I feel like Blind Pugh.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. And apologies for all my moaning! Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning all! OH on lates again so hit and miss using the computer in the morning in the week. I don't stop him using it when he's at home because I can use it when he's not but by that time I'm doing something else so don't post. Allotment yesterday, painting fence panels again today and moving some stuff form the back of the garden to the front. Which means I can get on putting the greenhouse together when the fence panels are in, happy days! Also off out to return an amazon thing, it was chipped and to pay for the allotment for the coming year. I will try to not spend any more money today or look in any garden centres or gardening aisles...:)TA, glad it went well, you should be back quite quickly for your next one if your eyes are very diferent now re your prescription but I completely understand how annoying it is to not see properly out of your eyes...If the worst comes to the worst, get the reading glasses lens out and sellotape it into your normal glasses...it's only for now, it doesn't have to look good. camelot, condolences about your auntie...funerals and death seem to bring out the very worst in some people, fortitude! SO, yes, it was quite nippy yesterday, the wind was parky! remmie, a good buy where the coffee machine is concerned then
Gers, I've seen some of the homework little schoolkids get and that is incomprehensible to me too! Have a good day all, take care of yourselves...
