TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “HITS RADIO AND PARTNER STATIONS & BRITISH AIRWAYS HOLIDAYS” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

By going online to the website listed in section 1, selecting the British Airways Holidays online competition in the

‘win’ section.  

 

Entrants must tell is in more than 20 words and less than 200 words, “Why do you want to go to Las Vegas?”

 

Entrants must then select from the drop-down box options and tell us, “What do you want to do in Las Vegas?”:

All valid entries will be pooled and the winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from those who answer the above question correctly. The winner will be contacted as soon as possible. This will be by either email or phone call. 

 

Entrants must add in contact details (Name, phone number, email address), these details will only be used to make contact with the chosen winner & in order to organise their prize and come on air only. 

The selected winners details will be passed onto selected parties in order to organise the prize only.

 

The winner will be required to come to air in Sam Thompsons Saturday show on Saturday 21/06/25..

 

If we cannot make contact with the winner within 1 working day (via phone or email), we reserve the right to choose another winner.

3. ENTRY

PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

 

Between 17:00 on Thursday 15th May 2025 (start time) and 23:59 on Tuesday 17th June 2025 (end time)

 

Entries received before or after the entry period will not be valid.

 

There will be 1 (one) winner of the competition. A draw will take place on Wednesday 18/06/25 to determine the winner.

 

 

4. ENTRY

RESTRICTIONS

·               Open to UK residents Including Northern Ireland.

·               Persons aged 21 years or over on date of entry.

·               Our employees (and their family members and household) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

·               We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

PRIZE SPECFIC TERMS & CONDITONS:

 

PART 1 – PROVIDED BY BRITISH AIRWAYS HOLIDAYS

Up to 4 nights overnight accommodation for 2 adults in a 4* hotel,

on a room only board basis, including return British Airways flights in World Traveller (economy) from London to Las Vegas. The prize is subject to availability and valid for travel 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026, excluding UK bank/public holidays and dates 19 - 23 November 2025. Other black-out dates may apply. Travel must be completed by 30 June 2026. Subject to travel restrictions. Extensions to the ‘valid for travel’ period are not permitted. Rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking. 

1.            For avoidance of doubt, the winner must be aged 21 or over.

2.          The competition is only open to UK residents, excluding employees and agents of (a) Bauer or (b) British Airways Holidays, as well as their relatives or members of their family or household.

3.          All incidental expenses are the responsibility of the prize-winner. Once the holiday is booked, it is non-changeable, exchangeable or refundable. There is no cash alternative to the prize in whole or in part. If you miss your flight, or fail to take the outbound leg, your holiday will be void and cancelled. It is the responsibility of the winners to organise any necessary visas and passports required for travel. Winner and their guest(s) must travel on the same itinerary. All parts of the prize must be used in conjunction with the same booking. The prize does not include food and drink (outside what is previously declared in the board basis,) personal expenditure or incidental costs. Winner and their guest(s) are solely responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documentation (including passport/visa/visa waiver as may be required), obtaining adequate travel insurance and appropriate vaccinations / inoculations (including covid-19 tests) for foreign travel at their own expense. 

4.          The winner is responsible for paying all associated costs that are not specifically stated in any Promotional materials or these Terms and Conditions, including (where applicable) transport, accommodation, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals. Winners are also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize. All travellers must have sufficient resources to meet any financial commitments, without limitation, which may incur in connection with the prize beyond those included in the prize itself. By participating in the Promotion, participants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither the Promoter nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize.

5.          Neither British Airways Club tier points nor Avios will be earned with this holiday package.

6.         In the event that, for reasons beyond British Airways Holidays reasonable control they are unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, British Airways Holidays reserves the right to award a prize of a similar nature and an equivalent value within the time that this prize can be redeemed. Travel restrictions may apply, please check Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advice before travelling.

7.          World Traveller (Economy) flights provided include a 23kg luggage allowance per passenger. 

8.          The winner must book their prize within 30 days of receiving British Airways Holidays details from Bauer.

9.         Gifts, prizes and other promotional items are not transferable, may not be re-sold and are subject to availability. British Airways Holidays reserves the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any such gift, prize or item with a gift, prize or item of equal value.

PART 2 – PROVIDED BY BAUER MEDIA PRIZE PROVIDER, ‘ELEMENT LONDON LTD’

 

• Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. Travel insurance provided is a basic single trip policy and it is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over; Levels of coverage will vary and it is the winner and guest’s responsibility to ensure that the level of coverage offered is sufficient for their circumstances;
• Travel is provided from the winners home address to London Heathrow Airport only from UK regional airports; Taxi transfers will be provided up to 100 miles or to the maximum value of £250; where the winner’s home is further than this distance economy flights or standard train travel will be provided at the Prize Providers discretion; Flights and train travel may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Travel itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;
• Return private airport transfers in Las Vegas to the hotel
• The prize package is for two (2) people, all of whom must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;  
• At least 1 person travelling must be over the age of 21; where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission; 
• The prize excludes meals and drinks (except where explicitly stated in the inclusions), hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; 
• All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion.
• All cash allowances listed will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older;
• Once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled; 
• Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; no cash alternative is available; 
• All travellers will require a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond date of stay; any necessary visas or additional insurance are the responsibility of the winner and guests; 
• If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package; 
• Prize must be taken in accordance with government guidelines and COVID-19 rules and restrictions in place at the time of travel, the arrangement and additional costs for any COVID-19 testing, quarantine accommodation or anything else that may be required is sole responsibility of the winner and guest;

·      It is your responsibility to ensure that you (and any of your guests) are fit, well and able to travel.

·      We reserve the right to withdraw the prize from a prize winner and re-award the prize to another entrant where health reasons or concerns prevent a prize winner (or any of their guests) from taking up the Prize.

• The winner will get the choice of a Las Vegas Strip/Outdoor Activities, Entertainment, Shopping, Dining or Sports package; The winner and guest must choose the same one (1) package and follow the same itinerary:

 

LAS VEGAS STRIP / OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

• The winner and guest will each be provided with a four day sightseeing pass, which will be sent to the provided email address; Winners should check their junk folder; It is the responsibility of the winner to provide the correct e-mail address to prize provider; For the helicopter tour a total weight of 300 lbs per person applies and is not suitable for wheelchair users; all passengers 18 years of age and older must present photographic ID; 

 

ENTERTAINMENT

• The winner and guest are provided with a standard ticket to a total of four entertainment experiences of their choosing throughout the duration of their trip; up to the maximum ticket value of £150 per person; shows and experiences are subject to availability and will vary depending on the winner’s chosen travel dates; Exact inclusions may vary depending on show/experience chosen and will be provided upon booking; 

 

STORES

• A one hour consultation is included with a three hour guided shopping trip at either Fashion Show Mall with Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus at the Premium Outlet Mall; spending money to the value of $1,000 at the current conversion rate is provided to the winner only and will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older; 

 

DINING

• Dinner and drinks are provided to the value of £150 GBP per person on each four (4) nights of the stay; allowance includes all gratuities; Any costs incurred over this amount are payable by the winner and guest;

 

SPORTS

• For the Sports package; The winner and guest are provided with a standard ticket to a sporting match/game of their choosing, up to the maximum ticket value of £500 per person; Games and matches are subject to availability and will vary depending on the winner’s chosen travel dates; Exact inclusions may vary depending on location and match/game chosen and will be provided upon booking; The winner and guest will each be provided with a £100 cash allowance to be spent on food and beverages at the game or on souvenirs;

1.                              DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 2.                            INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.                            MISCELLANEOUS.

 

·               Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.

·               Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

·               We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

·               You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

·               We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.

·               Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.

·               As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

·               We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
