Hi
What can I do when a parking enforcement agency has increased your parking fine before the 14 days you have been given to pay?
any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Are we talking about a private parking ticket
If so why on earth are you being a willing victim and wanting to pay it
The 14 day period is known as the "mugs discount period" for a reason2 -
I appealed it with POPLA and they went in their favour.0

You have not been fined
you do not have a parking fine or a penalty
Popla is not binding on the motorist
where did your vehicle get a parking charge notice, and why ?From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
It's not a "fine" they are a private parking company not an "enforcement agency" the so called appeals process is a sham, POPLA is paid for by the parking company and they don't accept mitigation or what happened on the day as an appeal. You had a speculative invoice from a bunch of chancers pity you didn't come here before appealing but no matter you are in the right place now, answer the regulars questions read the newbies thread and you will get help to fight the numskulls.1

You didn't have a fine and there's no such thing as a 'parking enforcement agency'. You seem to think they have a status or authority that these bottom-dwellers simply don't.
I think you would benefit from watching the MPs' debate about private parking firms last week for the penny to drop that they aren't an authority and you don't pay unfair charges:

The original PCN was from Civil Enforcement and now it’s with DCBL (Direct collections bailiffs ltd)
Further to the appeal I made to POPLA.
They was extensive work at the hotel where I parked and signs were covered by scaffolding and work vans, so Civil Enforcement sent in their evidence which was pictures of all their signs in the car park which were all on show but the pictures they sent in were from 4 years ago, when the hotel had no work being carried out. I did point this out to POPLA when I see the evidence. To be honest I could not believe they went in pictures from 4 years ago. What do I do?0 -

Hi
Thank you for all the feedback it’s greatly appreciated.Sorry if I sound like a scratched record, but it says on the newbie forum do not call DCBL, unfortunately I did call them to tell them that the fine had been increased before the 14 days by Civil Enforcement and it should not have been sent to DCBL, but they did not want to listen to.
Although I have spoken to DCBL can I ignore it on the grounds that the fine was increased early which is a direct violation of the parking rules or do I call DCBL and tell them that I am not paying because Civil Enforcement have committed a direct violation of the parking rules and that you are reporting them to the BPA?
Like I said I do apologise for repeating myself.0 -
You don't need to do anything.
Ignore.
Tell them if you move house, obviously.
Come back here if you get a claim form.
