We went to Salou last May and had a fab time. 10 of us went half board for under 2k. We booked flights from Luton to Reus with Ryanair for £600 and stayed at The Villa romana which I can really recommend. They have connecting rooms, we the holiday through Holiday Nights. Hotel is across road from Port Ave and 10mins in taxi from airport. I wouldn't go to Port Ave again though I have a sml 6yr old and although we paid full whack for him, he couldn't go on anything. Good luck we had a great time, thought about going back again this year but my Mum has this thing about going back to places twice, saying that we might go back for long weekend as we don't live far from luton and could be in the sun in no time. Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

thanks all..
found the apartments (albatross) I was looking at on the travel republic site.. from liverpool is £627 for all of us.. can save £18 by booking flight an apartment seperately.. added car parking on top, so not that much of a pain to get from manchester to liverpool... actually booked an extra day, only £30 more
could possibly get it cheaper again if we dont check all the bags in..

ok, sorry to be a pain.. another question

is it easy enough to get transfers from the airport (reus) into salou?.. its £64 for shuttle bus and £66 for taxi on travel republic.. or does that amount sound reasonable?
thanks!0 -
We stayed in an apartment at sunclub salou- which is actually in cap salou but very cheap and easy to get into the main part via bus- bus stop right outside hotel. I went with my mother, 13 year old daughter and 4 year old son. The apartment was spot;ess and EXTREMELY spacious and I know there were 2 bed ones as well.http://www.sunclubsalou.com/index_en.html
Ours was a bargain as we only paid £40 for 4 nights:T
Oh and as for transfers- we got a bus that stops outside airport and takes you to your hotel- tell them when you ned to go back and they will collect you0
