PIP Review and Upcoming Changes

I just received my decision letter for my second PIP review which I sent out in August 2024. I am happy it was a positive desk review.
I am wondering though if because of the upcoming changes next year, they are only giving limited PIP timeframes? I requested that they consider awarding me for a longer timeframe as my disability is not going to get better, it is progressive. The letter says my award is until November 2027 but that in November 2026 they will contact me for a review again. That seems very short and excessive.
Is it worth asking for a longer award period via MR?

What award did you get? As if it will get worse, their argument could be that they want to check that you aren't entitled to a higher award in a couple of years.

Thanks @Hil@HillStreetBlues my award has remained the same since my first application which I had to go to tribunal for. So enhanced for daily living with 12 points and 10 points for mobility.0 -
If it's remained constant over a good few years then personally I would request a MR requesting a longer award.

I suppose it makes sense especially if it may give me some protection from the upcoming changes for some time. Appreciate your help @HillStreetBlues0
