Our house hold income is £35k and my partner has been told he is getting the minimum maintenance loan. No idea why as it says on the gov website he should be entitled to 8-9k not 4.9k. Any idea what we can do to get this resolved

It suggests he has ticked the wrong box somewhere along the way. Part time study? Age? Not to be assessed for full loan?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for the reply, no all boxes ticked correctly for full time study for a health care course. Tried to send in an appeal and the email bounced back. Really frustrating! When you phone the student finance team they just say it’s correct but it absolutely cannot be right to get the minimum loan on a house hold income of 35k. Really lost as to how else to appeal it0

No he’s a mature student, he’s my partner and it’s just us living together and so I believe it just goes off my income. Sent appeal again and they replied saying we didn’t raise a concern which is nonsense so sent it again. Yet to have a response.0

Without knowing all your details it’s difficult to guess. If it’s not his household earnings, then it must be the course he is studying or what he has studied before limiting the entitlement.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
