An interesting new tariff from E.on that may be of interest to some. It launched on 15th April:  https://www.eon-uk.news/news/e-on-next-launches-uks-first-fixed-time-of-use-tariff-for-the-mass-market

You need a smart meter.  Like some Octopus Energy smart tariffs it has an expensive Peak rate between 4pm-7pm.  Then it has a Super Off-peak rate between 2am-5am.  Then the rest of the time it has an Off-peak rate.

It is 12 months fixed.  This is my quote for the East Midlands:

It certainly isn't super cheap but it could be worth considering for some.

Here is some additional information:

It's not really like Octopus Agile - it's more like an import only version of Octopus Flux

Hi, I've just signed up to the v6 version of this. Just a concern from me, the high rate isn't on its own meter read. (I have 2 - 1 night rate and 1 day rate). The meter has about 12 TOU displays, all but the main two show zero. So I assumed this time period would have its own reading. I'm not sure I like the fact the this removes traceability. I.e. if they say I used 5kw in the 16-19:00 time period, I can't prove otherwise.

Download the Hildebrand Bright app and you will be able to see accurate usage for each 30 min slot.

... a smart meter holds about 13 months of each 30 minute's usage data, which you can periodically download using Hildebrand's Glowmarkt platform ... glowmarkt.com, and so verify your bills.

I know I'm replying to a comment from May, but I wanted to mention that there are similar three-rate tariffs from several other suppliers.
100Green (ex. Green Energy UK) have their "Tide Smart" tariff, for example.
They also have "Tide Lifestyle" with three off-peak periods a day, a bit like Economy 10.

A new v20 version of the Smart Saver Tariff looks very competitive. East Midlands rates-

    Peak 4-7pm. 37.40p per kWh

Super off peak 2-5am. 12.53p per kWh

Off peak ( all other times). 16.64 per kWh

    Daily Charge 53.61p

    Started my switch to it.

Now on v23. higher rates, still decent 12 month fix majority of 24 hour period.

Switch completed yesterday, Eon Next connected to Smart Meter on day1.

Disappointed not to be able to see usage via website, only via app which I do not have devices for so will probably switch elsewhere when switch reward pay out.

SVR 24.70 p/kWh SC 47.63p per day -  North West region.

@bristolleedsfan The app isn’t showing usage for the last few days. When it works it’s ok. I use the bright app as well so can see my usage.
You might want to sign up for their power up sessions which pay you 10p - 30p per kWh for use above normal usually between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on sunny/windy days.
