Removing dried Super Glue

For reasons I'd rather not go into (suffice to say they involve a 12 year old boy... ) I have a crust of dried Super Glue at the bottom of our bathroom sink.

I suspect it will chip away, but obviously the risk is that sink chips away with it.

Has anyone used the super glue remover products you can buy, or can you offer any alternatives?

this sounds a bit dodgy, but give it a shot,
use a acetone-based nail-polish remover and apply it onto your sink. if its acetone-based, it should say it at the back of the bottle. this will break doen the bond and therefore be easier to take off your sink without damaging it.

    hope it helps,
would be interested in hearing the outcomes,

I shall trawl the dressing tables of Mrs MIM and Ms MIM later...

Then take said nail varnish remover and apply it to Master MIM, using a wire brush.....
