Smart Parking Charge Notice

I have received a parking charge from Smart Parking. I parked in a pub car park to use the "dog wash" that is in the car park. I was there for 19 minutes. Given the stress of bathing the dog I didn't notice the signage for parking charges and therefore didn't purchase a ticket.
The Date of contravention was 6/4/25. The date the charge was issued is 7/5/25 and I received the letter yesterday 13/5/25. The parking charge number starts with SP.
I have a bank statement with the charge for the dog wash on it.
I have been back to pub this morning to have a chat with them and they have asked for it to be cancelled, but she said there is no guarantee.
Do I wait and see what happens or should I go onto the smart parking website and appeal?
If so, what do I click on the drop down menu?

Do I then add the blue template?
Thank you.
This is the PCN information.

Thank you

Use the regular smart parking specific appeal text2
-
This one?
"I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.
If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner."
Should I still appeal even if the pub owner has sent off to be cancelled? I provided her with a copy of the bank statement showing I used the dog wash and she took a copy of that as well as the parking charge notice. She did say there was no guarantee that it would be cancelled.0 -
No not the generic appeal, use a typical Smart parking no keeper lliability appeal as seen in other recent Smart parking cases
Appeal before the appeal deadline expires, but hoping that the owner gets it cancelled in the meantime1 -
Thank you.
I have found this one -
"this is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual Smart Parking trick of asking for driver details in order to ge around the fact your NTK does not comply with POFA. As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver tot he keeper and thus is an auto win at POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issuance a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw."
On the first drop down menu, do I click on " I was a customer of a business on site" as I was using the dogwash or just click "Other".

Yes that is the correct appeal
Click on Other1 -
Thank you for your help.
Have now submitted this.
Fingers crossed I won't hear anything more from them.1 -
If you do, and if its a rejection with a popla code, use the one liner no contract sentence as your popla appeal, same as all the others3

Hi I've had a very weird parking charge from Smart Parking. Just received a letter from bailiffs to say these morons had issued three charges from 2022 which total too over £470. However, didn't receive no letters regarding these specific ones, I did however, receive three charges back in 2022 which I immediately paid off ( how silly of me). On top of that asked bailiffs if they sent evidence of any letters they might have sent too me, they couldn't provide any, instead sent me an email with images. However, I am no longer the registered vehicle for over 2 and a half years. I would highly appreciate if anybody has some advice, don't know whether I should contest because no letter was sent or is their an easier route with this?0

The fact you no longer own the car is irrelevant.
