I’m Currently with the AA for break down cover. My renewal price came through and was extortionate. I’ve called them and they’ve reduced it to £140. New members can get the same cover for just under +£90. I said I’ll just cancel and take out our new joint cover in the other persons name - the lady said I can’t do that and they may refuse to come out to me if I broke down.
Can this be correct?? Anyone else had experience of this??

Shoot yourself in the head why don’t you.
I have family cover for 4 people.
As we all live at the same address
Every year it’s cancelled as price quadruples.
Then the next one take out a new policy.
This will be year 6 and never had any issues.
But we don’t tell them that’s what we are doing.
To get the best offers I keep an eye on hotukdeals web site.
People find new deals on there, last 3 years the deals came in around April and June.
As you can post date membership starting by 60 days it’s great, purchased 2nd June and policy started on 1st August.
Home, National, Relay and onward travel cost £26.25 each.
The other option is if you have family near by, cancel and take out a new policy at there address this year.
Just remember to give their address when you call the AA.
I used my home address one year and the girlfriends the next.
Last years deal.
