Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's very grey and gloomy here, dry though. Yesterday turned out sunny, and a bit chilly.
The main event today is going to be a trip to Specs*vers to get a repair to one of my hearing aids.
The shop is just in our little high street so not far to go.
Good luck for today TA, I had 2 eye procedures back in February, the main one was a macular repair and the surgeon removed the cataract that was there as well. I can honestly say I never felt a thing. I just had to keep still. Hope you'll be ok anyway. I was just thinking yesterday, I could probably get new glasses now, the eye will have settled down.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Cloudy and a bit murky this morning again, but due to clear and give us another lovely day. I watered both allotments yesterday then went and did the little veggie patch I keep at my neighbour's. Once I had watered my own garden and the greenhouse I was pooped!
Feeling a bit better this morning although on top of having the lurgy Mr next door cut and strimmed the grass so I had a dose of hayfever!
Thinking of you today TA, hope all goes well.
Does anyone have a Sonos system? I'm having trouble with an update on the app.
Hoping everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning allBlue sky out there but that blasted wind is still here too.Was expecting bathroom man this week to replace vanity unit and floor but his other job over ran so he won't be here till Monday now. Not really a problem as we still have everything we need in the bathroom but I'll be glad to get rid of the skip when it's all done.A bit of housework and ironing to do and then the day is mine.Hope everything goes smoothly TA, I'm sure it will.Hugs to the poorlies and wish you all a good day x11

Yesterday was such a glorious day, the sun was hot! My washing dried in under three hours. All the bed linen jiggling slowly around on the line was a lovely sight. Not quite as lovely was my attempt at the annoying technology until I beat it into submission. Phew! I rewarded myself by sitting out in the garden pretending to read but actually simply enjoying the feeling of the sun on my face. The back garden is north facing so the afternoon is best as the sun moves across the sky towards the west. In the evening I had a board meeting which I wasn't looking forward to, however it too turned out to be lovely. Happy day. This morning the cleaner is coming so I've whizzed round putting away stray objects which have strayed from their proper home. I'll go out once he's here, first to the laundry with my gilet / body warmer and then I may have a wee breakfast at my favourite cafe.@TA - I'll be thinking of you today, I'm sure it'll all go well and you'll be back home in short time with a fetching pirate eye patch.@Camelot - good to hear that you're feeling a little better, please sit down a bit more!Hugs to poorlies.11

TA - Hope everything goes ok.Another blue sky day here - garden will need watering……I think this is the only downside (for me) to drier weather.Might try and mow the lawn and walk Bdog. Popping to see friends this afternoon and pick up a long handled car cleaning gadget so I can reach the roof of the van!Take care all

Good morning
Blue sky and sun, how lovely is this weather we"re having.
TA, hope all goes well today.
Izzy, I'm the same as you, too much sitting around enjoying the weather, need to knuckle down to some housework.
No other plans for today. Not sure what's for tea, last night was steak baguettes. I find it difficult to plan meals this time of year, still plenty in to choose from.
Have a good day everyone, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.13 -

Morning all.
I held off hanging out the washing this morning but the sun has finally appeared so it can go out now. Bit nippy out there though.
TA: it will all go well today and you'll be done and dusted in no time.
A good evening playing for Morris at the pub near Stoke Mandeville last night. We had a good audience, including some of our regular followers from last year. Off to a different pub to play for another side tonight
Also a very busy morning yesterday with the plumber trying to fix our main toilet. We have such hard water it had corroded something and the cistern wasn't filling properly but it's now back in full working order. He also went up in the loft to do something about the overflow pipe so that shouldn't drip into the garden now. In the middle of this the cleaner was trying to work around him and then someone appeared about the garden.
Off to the Larder now so have a good day everyone.13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. And thanks everybody for your good wishes. You'd think I was going in for open heart surgery I feel that churned up. It's the thought of someone messing with my eyes that's turned me into such a wuss! Today is the right eye, so you'll have to face all this again when I go back for them to do the left eye!!
DD is picking me up about 10.00 and I will be there for about 3 hours they say. Goodness knows what she will find to do for all that time, but it's hardly worth coming back home as she'll just get home when it's time to go back.
I met my DF yesterday as planned and I think it did her good to have someone to sound off to. Her DH with his MH problems isn't much help. Her DS's op has been brought forward a week, now it's next Monday instead. So less time to worry. His DP has promised to keep her informed of what's going on after the op but it's not the same as actually being there is it. Sadly, with all the health problems between them, flying there themselves is not an option.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Keep enjoying the sunshine! Take care all, stay safe x
