Two displays on one graphics card ?

Is it possible to run two displays off a budget graphics card such as this one ?
My PC and monitor ( VGA connection ) are upstairs directly above where my TV ( HDMI ) is in the room below.
I want to use my PC as a media centre and I'm hoping using something like the card linked above connected to my monitor using VGA and TV via DVI to HDMI lead & audio leads to be able to start playing a movie stored on the PC hard drive while at the PC upstairs then go downstairs to watch it on the TV straight away without having to swap any leads or settings etc.
I know it's not an ideal set up but I don't want the PC in the same room as the TV, if I can sort that out easily enough I'll look into buying a PC remote and a USB extension cable and have the remote sensor downstairs.

probably most cards with 2 connections allow it though some of the older cards had issues and you needed to be cardfull.
there isnt much too it just right click on windows desktop select propertie then settings and enable the 2nd monitor if i recall, dont have windows installed.
if you have any interest in gameing then jump onto ebay, nvida 6600 & 6800's are going for the same money and will play a lot of decent games still0 -
should add you can get xvid & divx upscaling dvd players for £50 odds with usb ports so using usb pen drive can play whatever you put on it with the pc off, some of the good ones have a lan port so can access shared directories on your network.0

Should work okay, but maybe it's worth paying a bit more for a decent card, looks like your going to pay more for the wire than the hardware doing the job. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0

Thanks all.
I have no interest in PC gaming so a budget card will do me fine.
I have my eye on a Toshiba HDMI Divx player (no USB though) at £35 but need to make room for it first , will put my Pioneer Divx player up on Ad trader and see what I can get for it.
A 5m DVI to HDMI cable is only £5.25.0
