Offering a rural escape from everyday life, The Grape Escape is a romantic couples’ getaway with a wood-fired hot tub offering spectacular countryside views. Situated in the heart of Biddenden Vineyard, it overlooks the vines in a peaceful location in Kent’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

When not exploring the many footpaths that cross the rolling countryside beyond the vineyard, guests can head into nearby Tenterden and browse the wide range of independent shops or enjoy a delicious meal. For those keen to sample the delights of English wines, there are also several other vineyards nearby making this a perfect base to explore both those and other delightful attractions. With the Kent and East Sussex coastline just a short drive away, there is plenty to do and see in this spectacular pocket of South East England.  

The charming cottage has everything you need for an idyllic weekend away with a cosy lounge/diner complete with comfy sofa and Smart TV; the ground floor is completed with a compact, fully equipped kitchen, shower room and WC, and the mezzanine bedroom is accessed via a ladder from the lounge/diner up into a comfortable sleeping area with a king-size bed frame. Heading outside, steps lead up to a secluded garden with a wood-fired hot tub, patio table and chairs, charcoal BBQ and two sun loungers; the perfect spot to relax after a busy day and enjoy watching the sunset over the vineyard with a glass of Ortega.

To complete your stay, enjoy your own private guided tour of the vineyard and winery and discover more about the family vineyard history and passion for producing quality English still and sparkling wines. Your tour will begin with a walk amongst some of the oldest vines in the country, where your friendly and informative guide will talk you through our grape varieties and the steps they take at Biddenden to maintain the vines. 

You will then be shown around the winery and given an insight into their winemaking techniques, which have been passed down through three family generations. You’ll also learn about the equipment used in the winemaking process to produce their range of award-winning still and sparkling wines, and ensure the excellent quality of their products.

Upon finishing the tour, they will have a reserved area ready for you where you will have a tutored tasting of three specially selected wines and one additional wine of your choice.
