Parking ticket CCJ

Hi
I have just found out that I have a CCJ against me for a parking fine. The CCJ correspondence went to an old address so I was not aware of the proceedings. It has been a while since the CCJ was issued. What is the best way to get it resolved quickly? I need to get my credit file clear.
Many thanks for your help.

A successful set aside application is the only way to remove it, the cost upfront is £313 unless you qualify for help with fees, assuming its a contested set aside
Please study the set aside advice given in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad1 -
Thanks Gr1pr, is a set aside application a better option than a consent order if the claimant agrees? I have read the guidance but cant quite decide what is the better approach. Thanks for your help0
-
I cannot answer that question because it's a personal and private and potentially costly decision to make, assuming that the Claimant plays ball, also assuming that a judge agrees and grants it
I can point you towards reading the valuable advice and information here, plus you should study recent cases over the last 16 months or so
I don't have the experience or knowledge that you seek, only what I have read for over a decade regarding victims accounts and the advice given
The best approach is what you want and how much you are willing to pay, or not, plus the legal legwork by yourself and time factors involved. It's not like getting a refund from Argos for a faulty item1 -
I've been reading through the posts but struggling to follow. Can someone please advice on the course of action. I'm a complete novice so any advice would be much appreciated.0

nobody said it was easy, I wouldnt find it easy, but I would look at other cases over the past 18 months on here, like this one for example

plenty of good information in those
most cases tend to be contested set asides due to being served to old addresses , the cost has recently increased to £313

It's fully covered in the NEWBIES thread section about CCJ set asides. You can follow that section. I would say it's fairly easy.Snowtree_chair said:I've been reading through the posts but struggling to follow. Can someone please advice on the course of action. There's an email there to use, to kick this off.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
Thanks for all the help above. I'm in the process of completing the n244 form as 2 weeks have lapsed since my email to the claimants solicitors without a response. Can someone please clarify what the difference is between the 3 options provided in ques 10 of the form (witness statement, statement of case, and 'evidence set out in the box below'). From what I have read on the forum, I need to present my case for set aside in the witness statement but I am unsure what is included in the other 2 options. Thanks0 -
There's no difference. Just do a WS like the ones seen in recent CCJ set aside threads, e.g. copy from:

Thanks for all the help. I have some further queries if someone can assist please.
I have 2 CCJs for 2 x parking tickets. The claimants solicitors are the same for both. Do I need to file two seperate N244 forms?
For one the claims, I did recieve a letter before claim. I responded to this but recieved no further correspondence. Subsequently, I moved to a different address. I cannot recall the details of the letter before claim as this was all by post. Does this impact my set aside application? Do I need to mention this in my witness statement?
Thanks0 -
2 separate N244s. Two fees.
No don't mention that, only that you moved. Look at recent threads by
