Any suggestions what to oil some Meranti slats on an outdoor bench with?
Was intending to use Osmo Exterior oil until I saw the current price.

I've used Roxil 'wood protection liquid' on that sort of thing, and also wood that's going to be in a hot dry environment with good results for both environments. it's about £28 for 5 litres1

Not sure that will work on Meranti hardwood as it states it is for soft woods.teaselMay said:I've used Roxil 'wood protection liquid' on that sort of thing, and also wood that's going to be in a hot dry environment with good results for both environments. it's about £28 for 5 litres

Either should work I think. I've been trying to remember, I think I have used that Roxil stuff on old hard wood - reclaimed door frames etc, but can't be sure.1
