Is it Freeview+ that had this?

Our previous Sony TV had a fab feature that meant you could scroll back through the terrestrial TV guide to expired episodes and call them up. Was this 'Freeview+'?
Ie, you'd press 'guide' and up would pop the list of channels and programs currently being shown, and those still to come. But you could also scroll backwards to catch a prog you'd missed. You could even scroll back days, and even weeks. Select the demised prog, press on it, and up it would come. Just fantastic.
We replaced that ageing Sony with a 'Crystal' Samsung. What a crock. Press 'guide', and you only get the current and oncoming progs. Missed something? Well, go on to the specific 'player', wontcha. Can't remember what channel it was on? Tough - enjoy the search lottery.
Sigh.
Was the Sony feature Freeview+ or something else? Mil's new tele must have it...
Thanks.

I think.... "Freeview Plus, now primarily known as Freeview Play, is a service that allows you to watch free-to-air TV channels and catch-up on shows that have already aired [7 days previous I believe], all through your TV."If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.1

The reverse EPG was part of the You View spec and more recently Freeview Play. Freely is the latest iteration.
Freeview Plus (+) was the PVR spec and nothing whatsoever to do with the backward EPG.1 -

Samsung TVs don't meet the spec for Freeview and don't show the Freeview logo. (That's not to say that you can't receive programmes but the Freeview extras won't work).
This is because Samsung has its own extras it wants you to use.1 -

The Sony we had could scroll back at least a week, and you'd just select the missed prog you wanted to watch. Fab - and such an obviously useful feature.Anyhoo, the only 60" TV that LG make is on order: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1151587?0 -

Well, LG 60UQ81 bought and set up.Wow - the learning curve :-) Initially convinced it didn't have the 'Freeview Play' ability to scroll back in time to play missed progs, but finally found it.All in all, an impressive TV, especially for the money. Two issues - anyone know about these sets?1) The projecting mouse. Wow - that took me by surprise, and I now know what folk were complaining about in reviews. It's very clever (how the hell does it work?!), but what I don't understand is what makes it appear, and how to make it go away again, so all you have is the physical cursor control?2) Every time you turn the tele on, you get the 'Home' screen. That's quite annoying - why doesn't it start off where you last left off? But, it would actually be 'ok' - a lot better - if all the poo could be removed, leaving only the icons for the stuff you will ever actually use. Is there a way of doing this?Ta very muchly. (Mil and I just about still talking...)0
