MET Stansted Parking Charge

Hey all. Looking forward advice on the best way to handle a Parking Charge by MET for Standsted, CM24 1PY.

Have read up a lot online about this specific charge but can’t decide what the best course of action to take is. So far no action has been taken and the issue of the notice was on the 22nd of April.

Would appreciate any advice on how to proceed, thanks.

Appeal as keeper based on no keeper liability on airport land,  as seen in other recent similar cases on here

No blabbing about who was driving

Thanks for the response. Is there a template already written to for this type of response. If so where can I find it?

    No template needed.

But read other MET Stansted threads to see how they played it. And read the end of POPLA DECISIONS. The latest outcome there today is a MET Stansted win.

Just sat down to go through this again and am finding it quite overwhelming. I’ve only got a few days left to appeal.

Would anyone be kind enough to link me to read something that is the same situation as I am in? That way I can read that case study. So far I’m just getting confused with all the jargon words.

    thanks in advance

Am I right in thinking this is what I should be putting in my appeal as found in the newbies thread

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.

If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.

I already did (as good as a link). I told you where to look for a Stansted POPLA win. Obviously, you just then read their thread about what their appeal looked like. Copy.

I’ve gone on all these different threads but haven’t found a case like mine.

As a newbie I’m just asking advice on what to do in my own thread. Having to go away and do research and find threads and posts leaves me open to making a mistake which is what I’m worried about doing.

Would really appreciate someone writing in this thread explaining step by step what to do or a direct link to someone else’s thread which is the same as mine

Oh and you’ve told me to look for a Stansted POPLA win but I’m not at that stage. I’m appealing to MET.
