Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, looks like it's going to be a cracking day here too. WM just about to finish so will hang it out before I go to work.
Feeling a bit groggy, I have some sort of virus - sore throat, cough, etc. Not as bad as yesterday so will plod on!
Hope everyone is well and you enjoy the sunshine. Take care. XX14 -

Morning allLooking like it's going to be another lovely day. Was really nice to be able to sit out in the garden yesterday evening.Carrying on with a bit of planting today. Some of my sunflowers are big enough now to put into the garden. I also want to put some stuff on the market place on faceache that we came across in our garage that we won't use any more and DS has got a couple of things that I said I'd put on for him too.Have a good day all x14

Wall to wall sunshine again - yesterday rain and thunder was a welcome break but I do like the sun. That said I was inside all day, and will be today too.Managed to sleep better last night so hoping to be a bit more productive this evening - yesterday I managed to make dinner and go a walk afterwards and that was that.Best wishes to everyone - especially the poorlies or those with worries

Good morning, it's a grey start here, but mild. We have had some lovely sunny days but it's never as warm here as it is further south.
Sorry to hear about your bf's son TA, hope he'll be ok.
Izzy, you gave me a laugh about the mini skirt!
Hope everyone has a good day, whatever you're up to.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Wall to wall sunshine again but not forecast to be quite oppressively hot as yesterday. Today to be a more pleasant 21 deg. I had trouble sleeping I was so warm, so feel washed out this morning after a night of tossing and turning.
For a wuss with an eye phobia I survived yesterday's assessment unscathed. It was like a production line, going in one room after another for various tests etc. Finally back to Reception to make the dreaded appointment for the actual cataract procedure and she told me she had just taken a cancellation for Wednesday (tomorrow) did I want that? I decided yes and then I don't have as long to worry about it! After yesterday cost me an absolute fortune in taxi fares, there and back, I am in luck tomorrow as DD is not working and is going to take me.
Today I am supposed to be meeting DF for lunch, unless she cancels. But as of last night she was ok to meet me. She says she has got a handle on her DS's diagnosis and needs to escape for a couple of hours. The actual op is booked for the 26th.
If I get moving I hope to plant up some of the geraniums I got at the w/e before I go. I also got petunias but they can wait for another day. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx

Good luck tomorrow TA. As I've said before, apart from having to lay very stilll for a length of time you'll be absolutely fine. Even the eye patch afterwards wasn't much of an inconvenience as I thought it would be x12

The day is promising much, already it's too hot to be stripping the bed and remaking it - but I did it. Now too hot to do much more apart from getting the wash on. For now.Yesterday was another day of technological challenges which, at first, were baffling and then eventually sorted. One little change made a huge difference, in this case the addition of another word at the end of an instruction. A bit like saying 'thanks'.
I had some chicken with salad for lunch, first full proper salad of the year, more for today.
At the exercise class more than half our number were missing as they all had appointments for COVID vaccinations - I'm the youngest in the group - one woman said last week that it would be her 10th since 2020. Blimey O'Reilly!Well done on being so brave @TA, after tomorrow it'll be over and you'll have better sight again. Life will be so much clearer and you'll see all the dust again.Good luck for the quiz @Suffolksue. Hugs to all whatever the day brings.15 -
