I'm sorry to say that on this sub-forum and elsewhere on MSE we've heard multiple times of IPDI trusts being included in wills without anyone severing the tenancy. Which isn't an issue in your situation.
But where there are blended families it has meant that that sometimes the first deceased's children have received nothing on the second death and it has gone to the survivor's children/new husband/nieces/cousins. Or much of the estate has been gifted prior to the second death.
Not an issue for you but people who think an IPDI trust is in their will need to check, and get the tenancy severed if they want to protect assets for their descendants.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
