Debt cic
Options
Hi about 5 years ago I was a director for a food hub none profit .It was cic there was 3 directors at the time.
The accounts were late and subsequently the cic was dissolved.
One of the directors carried on from 2020 after it had dissolved and just run it as a community group helping to feed people in financial difficulty.
But failed to pay the bills from couple year's ago mainly water and Gas energy bill was paid but current one not.
She is now winding down the group but complaining all the old directors should be paying the bills or helping to pay the bills .
She has peppercorn rent £10 a year to rent the community centre.
How can she resolve this please.

I’m a little confused about your post. I understand where the bills have come from, and the directors are not liable, But as one of the previous directors who was asking how she can resolve it, I’m not sure what help you are asking for here?
You can either choose to help her from goodwill, or not. How did she think the bills were going to be paid when she carried on running it? It’s not exactly an unforeseen expense. On what basis is she now running the food hub- what responsibilities has she actually taken on? If she put the bills in her name to run the group then presumably she’s still legally liable. What is the reason the bills weren’t paid -no money, overlooked them, mistake by utility companies? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

The cic was dissolved due to not having accounts on time . The group currently is not registered now or anything. It's just been acting as a community group.1 -

Had the cic / charity / group or whatever it was been properly wound up as insolvent you would probably been protected but it all sounds more complicated than that.
As you say "I know she should of just finished the food hub" but that didn't happen.
It is probably not very likely that creditors from five years ago will actually attempt to pursue former directors but who knows.0
