Should i sign my contracts with enquiry on deed of variation outstanding?

Hi there,
I am FTB buying a leasehold flat since September.
We received our contracts and docs through from our solicitor although we still have one enquiry outstanding. The enquiry is an amendment of the lease on the ground rent removing a section for something to do with S8 housing act. A rider has also been annexed to the contract in respect of this. The sellers solicitor sent the DoV back with the sellers signature, but not the management companies. Our sol then said we assume the our required amendments are not agreed, but is the rider agreed.
I asked her if we should be signing the documents and returning them with this still outstanding, to which she said its our choice and the DoV and rider will suffice.
I am very confused as to if its safe to sign as I'm assuming if the management company isn't signing it then we aren't covered? Our solicitor isn't the nicest person to deal with and I have already had 2 errors on the docs adjusted with no apology, hence why asking here.
Thank you

Signing and returning the contracts is irrelevant, what matters is whether/when you give your solicitor authority to exchange. Just get the docs signed and returned in the meantime so that isn't holding matters up.1
