CST Law & UK Parking Administration Limited

Hi All.
Long time lurker, and have been acting on the various advice posted here. But, now I'm in a place where I need to just make sure I'm doing the right things.
I had a parking fine last year. I disputed it (and still do). The fine was made by UK Parking Administration Limited for overstay at a car charging spot. I had already paid an "overstay charge" via the charging app which allowed me to stay for longer the 2 hrs (8 hrs if I remember). This made me (apparently incorrectly) assume that I'm OK leaving my car there for 8hrs. Seems there was/is a disconnect between the charging company and the "land owner".
Anyway, they rejected my claim due to the signage (in my opinion, the situation was ambiguous at best - does my payment of an overstay charge override the 2hr sign?).
I've ignored them since (and have had many many threatening letters), but today received a "LETTER BEFORE CLAIM" from CST Law acting on their behalf.
Am I right to think I should be responding to this one, by email, using the template in the FAQ / Newbies thread?
Thanks!

You can reply or you can ignore
You may or may not get a court claim2 -
Agreed. Nothing to worry about and most likely not followed by a claim as CST Law don't do that much. If they do, it's defendable.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
