Would you still consider buying a vented tumble dryer?

Curry’s are using strange figures there! Our vented drier uses a max of 2.2kW and dries a load of bedding, towels, or cotton underwear in an hour, which includes the cooling down bit, so that is less than 2.2kWh.

For T shirts, sweaters and trousers, which I set to “iron dry” and then hang up so they do not need ironed, it uses only 40 minutes, so less than 1.5kWh.

With only the 2 of us now, our washing is minimal, but I like to get it all done while the sun is shining on our PV panels when possible. Using the “speed perfect” setting on the WM, I can get 2 full loads done and folded/hung up in under 3 hours.
