Accidently drove through the drop off zone looking for the meet and greet car parking we had booked (it was in the far right lane but we were in the left hand lane ) we saw the overhead signs but were unable to turn back.Paid the fee as wasnt sure but it was within 5 days. 3 months later get a letter in the post asking for £150. How should I appeal this ?

You can't.

Just ignore it. You won't pay a penny.

Your issue is that your logbook wasn't updated when you moved, was it? Post went to your old address and you can be fined by the DVLA for failing to change your V5C address. Update it now.
