I have a written warning lasting 6 months- can I get a pay rise when it expires?

Options
My written warning runs out in August (was for 6 months) however in the mean time the other staff have a pay rise which I am not entitled to. Question is: When my 6 months is up in August, will I then get the increase in pay - or have to wait until next Aprils increase? Appreciate any kind comments!

You'd need to ask your employers, there arent laws around it so companies are free to set their own policies.

In my last employment you could get a pay rise even if on a written warning though in most cases you'd have to be very badly underpaid compared to your peers for it to be the case.

The only legal requirement is for your employer to pay you at least minimum wage. As long as this condition is met they don't need to give you annual pay rises, whether or not you're on a written warning. It comes down to your employer's policies.

Pay rises are rewards for performance not entitlements. They need to be earnt.

I would say that applies to bonuses

Applies to both though some will give a basic rise to those that are performing adequately and a bigger rise to those exceeding expectations.

    As well, may be.

However there is no legal right to a pay rise ever unless your pay falls below the national minimum wage. There might be a contractual right to an increase in pay, although that is fairly unusual, otherwise it is entirely a matter for negotiation.

Nope.  Unless there is something specific in the Contract of Employment, there is no entitlement to annual pay increases.  Many companies have performance related pay increases.  If you don't perform to a certain level you don't get anything - payrise or bonus.

    incorrect

it  depends entirtely on what isin the contracts and /or when collective bargaining is in place what is agreed there with the  unions / representation bodies involved

If only that were true... Far too many employers give across the board increases of a certain %, regardless of actual employee performance. That's certainly the case where collective bargaining is concerned.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
