Bristol airport from S W Wales

H all 

I am going on a cruise in July & flights just been given
- 6am from Bristol airport 😭

I normally get the NE bus or train but for this flight time there's no options unless I get to airport middle of the night eg 1am.

 TBH Bristol from  S W Wales (it's not far in miles) but believe it ior not is a right mare to get too if not driving (two trains & airport bus or NE bus that takes for ever & 1 change) . I normally avoid Bristol for this reason

I have looked at staying in a hotel night before but can't see much point in paying for a bed I will hardly sleep in !

I can drive, however, as I travel solo I DO NOT want to drive but sadly this looks like the only option ?

Thoughts anyone?

PS parking is soooo expensive

Not understanding why travelling on your own doesn't mean you can't drive, struggling to see a connection between the two.

As I said I had thought of that , but as I can't see any point in paying for a hotel to get up in the middle of the night 

Taxis are expensive 

I am trying to budget but everything is so expensive

Sorry I did not make it clear 

I apologise & it sounds silly but I don't want to drive by myself & also in the night due to an eye condition.

I am fit to drive by doc etc but try to avoid night time driving  if I can.

Your only option then is a lift from somewhere else or an airport hotel.

We regularly do airport hotels for 6-7am flights. Get there at check in, maybe use the pool/spa if there is one, and then have a nice meal and drinks in the evening. Getting up at half 3 isn't an issue. Make it part of the holiday.

Have you checked the Falcon bus service (operated by Flix Bus)? They serve Bristol airport throughout the night

Flixbus do regular runs from Swansea direct to Bristol airport including night buses - cheaper than the train ...

You need to be at the airport by about 4am, not 1am.  There are a few hotels at or near the airport, so could you drive there during the day instead.  Most normally permit checkin from about 3pm.  You may also be able to check in bags the previous day for early flights.  I don't know if Bristol has that facility.  As you are travelling alone I think you are just going to have to accept the high cost of parking.

Just did a search on Flixbus for 10 July - cheap as chips, but you do have to get to Swansea ...
