Hi all, been a while since I have had a return req on ebay.  Problem is buyer is saying item bought is not stores website (it was old stock) and therefore as they no longer have the item, but do have same item in a shorter length, so therefore I sent the wrong item.  If you enter item number on ebay, there are exact items same as I listed for sale. Return requested - do I accept then complain, as if I were to relist the item the details would be exactly the same as length described is length sent.

What kind of request has the buyer made? And are you registered as a private seller or as a business seller?

Return requested - wrong item sent, but item listed was item sent - private seller, no returns.

They are saying that as item is no longer on store website at that size then I sent wrong item.  The store used to sell at that length but have introduced it at a shorter length and have introduced it as NEW item.

Was the length mentioned at all in the listing? Even if not it might be worth calling eBay to see if they will close the case in your favour.

As they have opened what shou ds like an SNAD case you can’t actually refuse it, hence trying eBay with your proof against the claim.

Yes, the length and width and colour were in the heading and description and fabric content was in the description, thank you I will try and call ebay, if I can find their number - hard to find.

Well that worked a treat, they reviewed the case and messages the buyer sent to me confirming the size sent - which was what I listed, and closed the case in my favour -thank you Soolin.
