CCJ Parking Eye

Hello, can someone please advice me what my options are with a just discovered CCJ from Parking Eye.
I used a Tesla Charger on a hotel car park for 28 min and now have a CCJ against me.
Due to relationship breakdown this is the first notice of this ( it's complicated 😪).
Is there a step by step help thread please 🙏.
I have written to Tesla , the hotel/landowner and my local MP but I think that's probably useless at this point? Thank you so much everyone 💗

It's in the Newbees thread - see -  HAVE YOU FOUND OUT ABOUT A CCJ (JUDGMENT FOR CLAIMANT) AND NEED IT SET ASIDE?

Thank you for your reply. The letter from DCBL is dated 29/4/25 and says Notice of Intended Action Unpaid County Court Judgement £302.
Would I be better off just paying this rather than paying more setting aside the CCJ?
Will paying the £302.00 remove the CCJ?

I don't think it gets removed - do you know the date it was awarded?

Have you read the section about "I've just found out about a CCJ"

Not necessarily, because whilst our approach costs a £313 court fee up front, you'd be asking the court to order that to be refunded by the Claimant (assuming all your banking and utility/council tax bills in 2025 were not registered at that old address: thus you could have been traced easily before litigation and would have defended the case). Their fault for not tracing you: their cost to refund.

I can't argue it went to the wrong address successfully I think. I temporarily moved out of my house due to a break up.
Judgement was on the 4th February,  so I am past the 30 days? I cannot believe this is real- a CCJ for charging my EV?

If you are past the 30 days DO NOT PAY IT.  That will not wipe the CCJ now and your credit rating will stay damaged for 6 years.

You need to apply to set it aside.

You can still argue they should have traced you and that under CPR 13.3 the CCJ should be set aside as it was not served (due to your break up you were not at your previous home) and in any event, you have 'good prospects of defending the case'.

Read the CCJ set aside guidance in the Newbies FAQS thread, top of the forum. Get a copy of the POC (not the claim form, the POC) from the CNBC first and ask who the Solicitors were. Then email the Solicitors a version of the email for CCJ set aside cases, shown in the sticky thread.

Do not sit and wait. Do not wait long for an answer either. The court insists you must 'act promptly' and your application should follow THIS MONTH
