HI all
This is for a close family member…
I’d appreciate it if I or he wasn’t labelled as greedy, silly or naive when you’ve read this post.

Basically, last year he got in a bidding for a queue for a pair of Oasis Tickets at Heaton Park in Manchester on Ticketmaster website.
Here’s… the bit where he made mistakes…
Somewhere along the line he must have (foolishly & unknowingly) admitted to dynamic pricing. Knowing there was such a high demand he sort of went along with it and ended up paying £713 for 2 tickets direct from ticketmaster. He still has the tickets and receipts etc. However, He is now due an operation on his knee a few weeks before the event and there’s no way he would/could chance it in the standing area.

So, it’s obvious he needs to somehow get hi £713 back.
I was speaking to a pal (who goes to loads of concerts) who told me this:
He can’t sell them on because of new checks Ticketmaster have implemented.

If you sell them back to tripadvisor they won’t give you all the money you paid to them because it was dynamic pricing.
I asked my mate could he sell them on a reselling site and he said he doesn’t think so.
I don’t really want to speak to ticketmaster until we
have the correct information to argue back with them.

Is anyone in same position or has anyone been in a similar position?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you.We were a bit nervous about ‘alerting’ ticketmaster in case they put a block on the tickets.1
