Morning everyone
Remmie it was me who asked about your granddaughter - pleased to hear she's enjoying school now, sorry to hear yours isn't Rosyred.
My summer house was finished yesterday I'm really pleased with it - it's a quarter shed and 3/4 summerhouse with a partition dividing the two. It needs swept out today and the windows and doors cleaned - a bloomin seagull pood down the glass doors within 15 minutes of it being finished!
My chairs have been delivered so they are to build too. I got all the loose sawdust and bits of wood swept up after my tea yesterday, though he did leave the garden as tidy as he could.
Right I'm going to get on as I have 2 hours before work. Hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all, it's very overcast and breezy here. Yesterday I defrosted Dad's freezer while Mr Fix It changed a light fitting, Dad was torn as he didn't know who to bother and flitted between the two of us 😂 I had my haircut in the afternoon and the stylist gave me a new style which I really like.
Today I'm going to go with the flow and just potter about. There are a few items in the ironing basket that could be ironed if I'm bored !
Tea tonight will be bacon, sausage and egg, easy.
Take care all, enjoy your day.

Morning all. Yesterday the sun was playing hide & seek, fairly mild during the day but chilly at night, and we had a brief shower in the evening. It doesn't look as if we'll see much (if any) sun today - roll on tomorrow when the good weather returns.
All the undercoating is now done but I can't go any further until DS has put a second coat of paint on the ceiling, hopefully this weekend. No matter, I'm sure my knees will be glad of a rest for a couple of days. One thing is for sure, the next time this room needs decorating I'll be paying someone else to do it!
Today's plan is to go to the shop for milk and this afternoon I'll shorten two pairs of trousers for DS's partner. I'll also try to find a few more bits for the CS bag to make it worthwhile having a mosey down to the parade tomorrow; it's ages since I've had a good browse and there are a couple of things on my wish list. With the walk there and back and a choice of 6 outlets, it could occupy a fair chunk of the day! No idea what's for tea, I'll see what I fancy a bit nearer the time.
Like a lot of others, my late DF didn't talk much about the war but I do know he was a Stoker in the Royal Navy, served in Italy and Africa and, being a big, strapping young man, was once asked if he'd consider becoming an RMP (that was a No as in Pass). I have a photo of him in his uniform (maybe Italy?), his naval record and war medals that will be passed on to my DS in due course.
Right, the need for milk is calling so I'll leave you all with a wish for a peaceful and stress-free day. Take care, have a hug if you need one. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
dp1, I'm so sorry, I hope I didn't sound rude. This week has been a catch up after last weekend.
Thank you for asking x9
