Short term car insurance

Hi everyone,

After some advice please... I have a short term car lease, while I wait for my new car to arrive (via another lease).. I was just going to renew my short term car insurance to discover that it's actually invalid due to the lease being for less than 12 months (Ooopps!!!). I won't drive it again until this is sorted but I am struggling to find a short term insurance company that offers insurance when it's a short term lease. Any suggestions? Or am I better just insuring it through a normal provider and then changing it mid policy? I originally went for a short term insurance as originally this was going to be leases for a couple of weeks, but due a delay on the next car I need it for another month or so.

Try Aviva, not sure if they still do it but they used to do a monthly policy, Aviva plus? It was competitive against annual policies when I had it, and it's easy to swap cars (assuming they cover it) relatively cheaply as the monthly fee alone could often be less than the price many insurance companies charge to just change the car.
