Deed of Variation signature

I live in the US and have to sign a Deed of Variation regarding the estate of my late parents. Will HMRC accept a digital signature so I can send the document electronically or does it have to be the original document? TIA

HMRC will not normally see the deed of variation, it does not have to be sent to them I would print it out sign it, keep the original for your own record the email a scanned copy to the executor.

DOV usually come after the estate as been through probate so not sure why HMRC would need to see it

A timeous deed of variation might be made after probate has been granted.
It appears that you only need to provide a deed of variation to HMRC if it changes the amount of IHT due:
