Holiday Inn DCB Legal Claim Form - Help

Hello, I have read the Newbie thread and am really struggling to follow it. I go on Honeymoon in 2 days and have just received a Claim Form from CNBC on behalf of DCB Legal. They are saying I owe £284.72 due to not having valid parking at a Holiday Inn on 22/3/2023. I know what this is relating to, as I used to take my daughter to swimming lessons there and you would need to put your reg into their computer and it would register you. For some reason this did not work on multiple occasions and I received about 5 PCNs for different occasions. I called the hotel and they said they spoke with the parking compnay and cancelled them all. The letters still kept coming and now I have this claim form threatening a future CCJ. I know I need to acknowledge it to give me time to respond. The thread says not to do so via Money Claim Online. I don't know where or how to do it, please help. The issue date was 2nd May 2025.
Thank you in advance.

Should all be in the newbees thread - you can still contact the hotel and ask them to get the pcns cancelled.2

" I called the hotel and they said they spoke with the parking compnay and cancelled them all."
Did you get that in writing? - if not, as above, but contact in writing.1 -
Congrats...how long are you away on honeymoon?

2nd post titled Small Claim in NEWBIES has instructions for AOS. It's your defence you don't file on MCOL that gets emailed.1 -
You will have to do the AOS, which you can easily do today by following the page by page images linked un the second post of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The issue date was 2nd May 2025.With a Claim Issue Date of 2nd May, you have until Wednesday 21st May 2025 to file an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS'), but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AOS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AOS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 4th June 2025 to file a Defence. That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the AOS guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an AOS, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
Hello everyone, thank you so much for your help so far. I have today received a letter titled COUNTY COURT JUDGMENT: PAY WITHIN ONE MONTH TO REMOVE FROM CREDIT FILE. What do I do? Thank you in advance.0

Did you comply with the deadlines for filing the (1) AOS and (2) Defence?2
-
I did with the AOS but between my husband and I we missed the Defence thinking the other had done it. I am pretty sure we have a solid case, the hotel themselves have said
" unfortunately since the parking is from a third party we cannot contact them, but I will be really happy to cancel and send you a confirmation of the cancelation. I just need few details from you, if you don't mind can you please send us the parking reference number starting with NEW. Once I have got the reference number I will cancel the fine and send you the confirmation of cancelation. "
I don't know this number so I can't send them this information.0 -
Too late.
Pay it in full immediately. This was really important and you both dropped the ball. Sorry.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
