My husband received a debt recovery letter at the weekend for a parking fine in March 2025, he hasn’t received any correspondence (PCN etc) from the private parking company (Initial Parking Ltd) at all. Can anyone advise us on what to do?

Study the 4th post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum ( ignore powerless debt collectors letters )
He should get his V5c log book out and check that the current details are correct and on it, not a typo or an old address, because that pcn went somewhere2 -
Initial Parking got his details from DVLA. Check address on his V5C. If not current, action is needed even though debt agency has used his current address on this occasion.

by the way - it's NOT a fine.
It's a speculative invoice based on an assumed breach of contract.1 -
V5 checked and name address all correct0

Then just follow the NEWBIES thread. If he's getting the daft £170 threatograms then they are covered in post 4.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
