Morning all, not as sunny as yesterday so far. Gers, sounds like a good trip.WickedLady, we've got a pile of LPs in our loft too but DH won't get rid of them.He even bought a cheap record player to listen again but the sound of it isn't the best! I've just taken some salmon fillets out of the freezer, thanks for reminding meAllie, reading a Kindle outdoors sounds good to me- must make sure it's charged up for our hols.I slept a bit better last night thanks to my walk on the moors with DB2 & SIL, but it did feel a bit chilly when I got in bed.Bin day today, a few of the neighbours seemed to have put the wrong colour out, an older lady was worrying as she thought it was the general rubbish one so I went home to check online- it is ,so I popped back up the road to let her know. BankHol bin day confusion I suppose.I've been amusing myself putting together a photo collage of the dogs we've had including our beloved Ly1a.Got it all placed nicely and put it in the frame ,fastening the holding bits down when I heard a crack- yes the glass broke! DH very kindly nipped to the glass place for a replacement when I was out so that is now on the wall. I've got another new frame to print out some newer ones of the DGC, most of the ones on the hall wall display are a few years old. Mind you, I might struggle to find ones of DGS wearing something other than a football stripI got the hose out to water the garden again, it's easier than the watering can.Hope you all have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hello all, the sun is out again, but I won't complain as it seems to lift my mood !
Yesterday the trip to the 'van dealers was unfruitful and we bought nothing, but I noticed that they seem to be catering more for motor homes than caravans now. My haircut didn't happen either as I got the day wrong, it's today ! It was lucky that I checked my phone for the appointment before I actually stepped out the door, then I had to scrabble in the freezer for something for tea too.
This morning we're going up Dad's, I wonder what gems he has for us today. This afternoon it's definitely haircut time, followed by a chippy tea 😂.
Have a good day all.

Wicked Lady and Rosy I've got the same LP problem with DH. About 10 years ago I bought him a turntable that would record the music so you could listen to it from another device. He never used it. When I suggested we get rid of it he said oh no I put a record on when I'm doing some housework (he became part time while I was still working full time). so it and the LPs are still taking up room and gathering dust. What with the garage as well he's a terrible hoarder.

Just popping back in while I have a break from the wretched painting - how I hate that job; I'd rather wallpaper any day.
Since DH passed away I've got rid of a lot of stuff. He didn't bring in a lot of things but just couldn't let go of anything once it was in - it was always there for "Justin". I can understand that to a certain extent as he grew up during the war years when everything was saved and nothing was wasted. It might seem a bit harsh and I do feel some guilt but I've tried my best to re-home much of what's gone, plus I'm very unlikely to need a lot of what he saved. So far I haven't regretted it and am appreciating the new-found space.
Right, back to it.Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
