Having not long moved house and new to how everything works I have a headache trying to work it all out!
We have solar panels on the original FIT scheme, an air source heat pump and a Pod Point Solo3 7kw charger already installed. We are about to buy a 59kw/h electric car.
Am I best going for a heat pump tariff which is around 14p/kw 3hrs at night but also at 1-4pm or an EV tariff which is around 8p/kw at night?

Your best bet, if you have any cash to spare, would be to install house batteries, which you can charge overnight on an EV tariff, and run the heat pump all day at that rate (7/8p/kWh). Keep the FIT payments but turn the deemed export, if that still applies, to a SEG, which will earn you 15p/kWh export.1

The choice is entirely yours. It'll all depend on how much electricity you use at what time of day.You might even decide to take a heat pump tariff from November to April, and an EV tariff from May to October.
