Peugeot Partner Tepee semi-automatic transmission problems
Hi,
I've had trouble with transmission on my diesel semi-automatic 2016 Peugeot Partner Tepee since I bought it in 2022. First the pipe work needed replacing. Then the pump and now the robot arm. Does anyone have any experience or advice with this type of transmission gear box?

I'd had one of these, though mine was the Berlingo Airdream EGS6.
It's the 6 speed automated manual with the rotating dial on the dash as a "gear lever" isn't it?
I basically inherited it and used it for a while as a little van until it started playing up.
The concentric slave cylinder started leaking badly.
I believe it can be a bit of a weak point.
I know a couple of local garage owners and a local gearbox specialist and they all told me the same thing, get rid of it!
No one wanted to touch it, even my nearest Citroen/Peugeot specialist declined and told me to take it to the dealers, who wanted nearly £200 to tell me what I already knew.
A mate of a mate with a decent garage and myself gave it a go and to be truthful, it was a bit of a nightmare.
It was about the worse gearbox job I have ever done on a car and I've done a few.
There's just no manual bleed on any of the hydraulics which makes diy and even local garages and specialist very wary and the worse thing is, you pay all that money out/put the hours in and it still drives badly.
Yes, they are okish on the move, but slow manoeuvres like reversing are a pain as without enough rpm, they dip the clutch automatically even when you don't want them to.
For the last 5 years or so I've been driving a dual clutch auto, a Getrag 7DTC300 and it's been totally solid and fuss free.

My Peugeot 5008 has the 6 speed EAT box.I think it replaced your one. Nice and smooth even when driven hard.We were looking for a C4 in 2015 and I think it had your box or one like it.Did not like the way it drove. Even in a brand new car.I hope you get it sorted.0
