DCBL FINAL REMINDER - Unpaid Parking Charge £170

Hi all,
I have read the newbies thread and just a bit confused as to where I stand with this so would really appreciate some help.
I basically had the wrong address on my V5C so I wasn't receiving any letters. I have since updated this.
The reason for getting the letter is that I merely pulled in the car park to take a phonecall as the car park used to be free when I lived there 2 years ago and it was dark so I didn't see any new signs.
Have I got any leg to stand on with not paying and how would I go about it?
Thanks in advance!

1. Don't pay anything
2. If you've read the newbees thread you know to ignore debt collector letters
3. have you had a LBC or claim from a county court yet ( I presume not but you don't say the dates of the letters ).
4. Again in the newbees thread it should say about updating the V5 and the wording to use use to the parking company that originally sent the ticket1 -
Just read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. Post 4 then post 2, in that order. It's the resource to read first, before posting any query.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your reply
No LBC or county court just 2 dcbl letters
I have read the newbies forum and was a little confused but reading 4 & 2 just to confirm, I email Britannia & dcbl the following:
Dear Sirs,
Your Ref. ############
Proposed Legal Proceedings
Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx Ltd
I refer to your your letter of claim.
Please erase my old address and only use this address going forward -insert address-
The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').
I note that the amount being claimed has increased by a hugely exaggerated amount which the Government called "extorting money from motorists".
Don't send me your usual blather about that.
I have two questions, and under the PAP I am entitled to specific answers:
1. Am I to understand that the additional £70 represents what you lot dress up as a 'Debt Recovery' fee, and if so, is this nett or inclusive of VAT? If the latter, would you kindly explain why I am being asked to pay the operator’s VAT?
2. With regard to the principal alleged PCN sum: Is this damages, or will it be pleaded as consideration for parking?
Yours faithfully0 -
You don't send DCBL (Direct Collections Bailiffs Limited) or Britannia anything at this stage. You wait for DCB Legal, their sister company to send the Letter of Claim.DCBL uses blue headed paper, DCB Legal green. They are deliberately named to confuse.1

AND REMEMBER, there is no such thing as a £170 PARKING CHARGE.
DCBL are misleading you and later a court. THE EXTRA £70 IS JUST A SCAM
The courts know all about this money scam which was approved by the BPA, AN UNREGULATED MEMBERS CLUB and NOT A LAW0
