Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's fine here, who knows for how long. I must do some washing today, and also go out to the shops, only for milk mainly.
I haven't read back on yesterday yet, but hope everyone is ok and has a good day today.
Take care folks.12 -
Yep - still a very dull grey here and cold again. The exercise class yesterday was tough as I increased the weights and doubled up on resistance bands. It's no good just doing the same each week so I like to challenge myself now and then. When I was home I had a half a lovely chorizo and tomato tart with new potatoes and salad.Yum - I have the other half for today.Talking of new potatoes - what's happened to the tasty wee ones which needed the skin rubbed off? My Jersey Royals didn't have their skin hanging off in shreds they way I remember. They had been scrubbed smooth. My invigilating duties have me out every morning this week, I prefer mornings so it'll be good to get them done. I'll put on small wash before I go out.I hope that everyone is doing well and has some sun. Hugs to all.12

Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning. After yesterday's rather chilly start it turned into a lovely sunny and warm afternoon. I put a small load of washing out yesterday that's all put away - not enough for a load today, the WM can have a rest!
We have an in-service day today, I have everything ready for a full cooked breakfast for everyone, the kitchen folk will cook - all paid for by management.
I had the sad news that my Aunt passed away early this morning, she was 88 yesterday. It's a mixture of sadness and relief that she's not in pain any more. Will wait to hear the arrangements.
Lovely day with DD and the little one yesterday, we planted up the hanging baskets (still in the greenhouse as it's a bit cold at night still) and DD helped me move a rather large pot. The little one had a tray of water and played away for ages.
Hope you're all well and can have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all and thanks for your birthday wishes yesterday for DD.
We had a great day at Castle Ashby, although the picnic was challenging in the wind and we had to rescue blown over chairs and plastic cups several times. There's a small children's zoo there and the meercats were so amusing.
Today it's back to normal and I have ironing to catch up with. I have finally persuaded DH to go through the pile of LPs in the garage and, as a result, most of them are going to the charity shop today. We have one nearby that has a super record section. The remaining few LPs, including my copy of Abbey Road, can be fought over by the children further down the line. I also have about 2 dozen singles in their covers, although some of them were bought second hand.
I've switched off the heating but it's jolly chilly here this morning. Last night I had to put the electric blanket on for a while and I'm not usually a wuss :
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and fingers crossed for it warming up again.11 -
Morning everyone it’s bright and mild here today it was dull and chilly yesterday but I got the washing dry I’m just off to do a cleaning job but other than that not a lot happening Gers I’m the same as you I’ve bought new potatoes from the veg shop and the supermarket and none of them have had the lovely skin you just rub off . Camelot sorry to hear about your aunt . I sorted my clothes out ready for when I go away yesterday I have a couple of things to iron I have a mix of things depending on the weather but as long as we have something waterproof when we are out and about I think we will be alright and I need to book the car in for parking when I get back today . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but still quite cold, last night was really cold it got down to 3 deg, that’s my fault for saying the fire would not be on now for the summer 🙄 we had to get logs in and light it last night it was so cold.
Three people coming today and they have requested a walk so we might go to a local beach which has a really nice circular walk with a cafe at the end for a cuppa.
Dinner tonight is either chicken parmigiana or chicken Gyros DD is off today so she will cook so her choice of what she fancy’s cooking, wm is on and doing its thing the washing can be hung out it’s good drying weather with the cold wind.
Camelot so sorry to hear about your Aunt xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning allCondolences Camelot xWell let's hope I don't have to put the heating on today, it was really miserable yesterday with a strong cold wind.Had a message from bathroom man yesterday to say our vanity unit won't be available to collect until Friday so he will come 2 days next week to finish our bathroom. Am glad really as the weather this week isn't wonderful and our front door is open all the time when he's here to come and go and I'd end up hiding in the kitchen all day as we've got an open plan lounge. Weather looks better next week so a win win situation there.Washing to hang out and a hoover and a mopping through of downstairs now it's not going to get dirty again until next week.Have a good day all x12

Good morning, and thanks for the start Gers.
Bright and sunny after a very chilly night. I have been AWOL for a few days as the family visited for the weekend. A great time was had by all, but I'd forgotten just how full-on youngsters are! Brownies and cupcakes were made, a very messy affair, and big dog was walked more than usual. Lots of food was eaten and board and cards games played, I've learnt how to play Uno! It was amazing to see how independent my eldest dgd is becoming, she doesn't let her VI stop her.
Anyway, back to normality today, laundry to catch up on, and I'd better replenish the food stocks.
I haven't read over the weekend so need to catch up, hope everyone is okay.
Camelot, my condolences to your family.
Have a good day, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.9 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Condolences @camelot1001
@mehefin the sunflower lanyards are for anyone with a hidden disability. My DH had one as he had dementia.
So cold yesterday but some much needed rain. Still very cold this morning.
Usual quiet weekend, didn't see anyone.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
