    I’m organising a prepaid funeral plan.
    Why would you do that?  That seems unnecessary based on what you have said.

    BTW, your thread title is a bit click bait.  You may wish to edit it to reflect your question.


    I’ve thought about critical illness cover but my job does 6 months sick leave on full pay plus 6 on half pay, and there are options for retirement on ill-health.
    CIC is not income protection.   PHI is probably your main financial need.    Don't assume that early ill-health retirement is easy to get.
