Still not heard back from Beko.  Customer Services say they can't do 'any more' for me as I had completed the CEO complaint form and it is being handled by the 'relative departmental executive team' who have failed even to acknowledge my complaint after 3 weeks.  In fact my emails have been blocked from both the CS team's email addresses I have.

    This weeks wash?

I did my usual 40deg cotton wash with 4kg of cotton items - clothing and towels.  No spin.  I tried the 'spin and drain' function.  No spin.  I took out all the towels and my jeans and tried again.  No spin.  I took out all the remainig items -  light cotton clothing - and put back the towels and jeans and tried again.  No spin.

I then tried my jeans alone - successful.

I then tried 7 pairs of mens undershorts, 7 handkerchiefs, 14 socks,  napkin.  No spin.

I had to hang out a whole wash load of soaking wet items  to 'drip dry' on my washing line.

It occurred to me that because the washing came out so very very wet the pump might be to blame.  Checked Beko's manual - height of waste to be between 40cm and 1 metre.  Mine 84cm - well within range.  But I thought 'nothing ventured' so reduced height by 15 cm to 69cm.  I then washed a polyester blanket - the sort to hold a lot of water - on a quick wash and it spun!

So now I don't know (until I have another load):
    -was it a fluke?
    -is manual wrong?
-is pump faulty/only working properly on some programmes?

The waste was visible when engineer originally came but he was too busy telling me I was doing everything wrong to notice anything else.

So, in the absence of contact from Beko, I shall have to wait a week to see if w/m will now work on my preferred programme.

Get a local repair company to look at it.

If they give you a report that it  is faulty then you hve proof to use.

If he states it is not faulty he can explain things to you.

If it is faulty you can claim back the cost of his report

Indesit/Hotpoint (formerly part of US Whirlpool) is owned by Turkey's Beko (called Beko Europe) since 2023. Models are slightly different from Beko as based on existing Indesit designs for now.
