SO for Premium bonds

Has anyone set up a standing order for premium bonds? Looking to do this for my OH's account having just remembered he has a small amount.
Can you do this via online banking? A quick look earlier suggested taking a form into the bank.
What date would you suggest putting for the SO to leave your account? To avoid weekends and allowing for NSI processing?
Many thanks

The exact facilities offered by each bank on their website portals will vary, but I'd have expected any bank allowing standing orders to be set up would allow this to be done via online banking rather than needing a piece of paper.
Date would depend on when you want to buy them, but end of the month is optimal....0 -

We wanted to do the end of the month, just wasn't sure just how soon it would show in his accountMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

An electronic transfer deposit received by 18:30 on a banking day will normally clear no later than the next banking dayhttps://www.nsandi.com/files/asset/pdf/premium-bonds-brochure.pdf1

If your bank is clever enough to let you specify the penultimate day of the month, that is fine, otherwise, if you have to specify a particular date, it has to be 25th to allow for weekends at the end of February, and the possible overnight clearance at NS&IEco Miser
