    Thank you for finding that Marcon.
    For a moment I thought it would be perfect but it's rechargeable.
    I'll have a look later because I wonder, with only using it rarely if the battery will go soft with being left uncharged for long periods like phones will.

    You're doing a good job with an old Singer, those really hold up. If you ever decide to add a second machine for quick everyday stuff, the small Brother models are much lighter and easy to pull out of the closet when you need them. They do straight work, simple hems and don't require any experience, so they pair nicely with a sturdier main machine.

    When I was comparing options the same way, I checked out the offer from Lords Sewing and it was easier for me to choose something that fit my space and budget.
