Evri or seller at fault?

Not a major deal, but ordered something off eBay which promised two day delivery. I didn’t get a notification that it was dispatched so queried it with the seller, I then got tracking notification and though it seems it was posted on the day I bought it, it just says it’s running behind the original estimate.
Slightly annoyed cos I wanted it for this weekend, but it looks to me as if it’s evri that have messed it up? I doubt I’ll get it before Tuesday now?
It’s just I will leave feedback but if it’s not the sellers fault then I wouldn’t knock them down.

Is that the eBay estimated delivery date ? If so they are laughably wrong, I sold things yesterday afternoon, I have. 2 working day despatch (3 for those who used SD as that is standard) and 2nd class and yet my buyers are being told items will arrive from Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th which is impossible. I can’t even post the RM ones until Tuesday and my despatch shows I don’t even need to post until Wednesday 7th.So in answer to your question, it is likely eBay’s fault with their daft estimates, not the seller or even Evri’s fault.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin, I assume it is eBay’s estimate then, it was on the listing as 1-2 days. Ah well, not a big deal, I won’t mention it in the feedback then, I mean the seller sent it the day I bought it, so they couldn’t really do any more than that.Silly eBay🙄0

I've been using Evri a fair bit lately on Amazon and their delivery targets have been off quite a bit. One issue is collection, most sellers only have a drop off option and their collection times are quite erratic. If it's dropped off before 12pm there's a good chance of it making it to that day's delivery system. If after noon it may not get collected the same day, so the later in the day it was marked as despatched the less likely it is to be delivered within the timeframe.
Once it's dropped off it gets scanned as despatched at the drop off shop. It sounds like the seller has done their job here.

I have just listed a few items on my account, I listed on both my business using 2nd class RM and on my private, using LL 2nd class RM, both accounts have a 2 working day despatch. Looking at those listings that went live a few minutes ago, delivery shows as 'delivery in 2–3 days' - yet tomorrow is a bank holiday so my despatch time of 2 working days is not up until Wednesday.
This is one of my biggest annoyances about ebay, pretending they can compete with Amazon at the detriment of their sellers, both private and business.
My next post drop for RM will now be Tuesday, at which point no doubt some of the buyers will already be expecting their items.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
