Motor insurance for over 80 year old driver

Not in my case as I can go anywhere on a whim,
I did 622 miles in a day to Cornwall and back during covid
I did over 1,000 last September to the Cairngorms national park for 3 days
I could go to Scotland or Cornwall tomorrow
Restricting my milage to usual 5000 would be a bad idea for me0

But you told the OP to just up the mileage for the quote without asking whether they might be doing more or not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0

I've said it before when other people have raised the same question, it's not viable for him to run a car, better to sell it, bank the money, don't pay out for insurance, VED, running costs, etc., and travel the 2K miles each year by taxi instead (or to be really MSE, on the bus for free using his bus pass where possible)..0

So long as there are taxis/buses/trains available. Not guaranteed in rural areas.SiliconChip said:I've said it before when other people have raised the same question, it's not viable for him to run a car, better to sell it, bank the money, don't pay out for insurance, VED, running costs, etc., and travel the 2K miles each year by taxi instead (or to be really MSE, on the bus for free using his bus pass where possible)..1
