Sent first letter but still being persued

Hi there, thankfully I know how great this forum is and came to it when we first got a PCN for dropping off at Gatwick for 1 min 15 seconds!!

Having used your template letter when we got our first letter from BW Legal  they have persistently been sending letters since their first on 25 September. This is now 7 months later or thereabouts! We then heard from Moorside Legal on 17 March to inform us they have now been instructed and ‘may be instructed to start legal proceedings....then a letter on 3 April with a proposed payment plan to pay the £170 (how helpful). They sent a further  letter on 22 April with a pack outlining the background of the debt and providing a few pages of information about ‘what I should do to avoid being taken to court’ and if I don’t complete it could result in court proceedings... and we have 30 days to respond. A pack of response forms was included and ask us to confirm a) that we owe the debt, b) that we owe some debt but not all c) don’t know whether owe the debt d) dispute the debt e) will pay what we owe f) will pay but need time g) we are getting debt advice h) have provided documents I) I need more information...and a signature. We are signing nothing btw.

After the first letter we have not responded and frankly have been awaiting the court letter for which you have provided a helpful response template letter for that stage...Is this still your advice to wait for next letter or should we write now to reiterate we sent a letter previously which we suggest they seek from BW Legal to whom it was sent which clearly set out that I was the registered keeper and not the driver etc....and therefore desist in perusing us to see if it stops them, not that it did before....As a point of interest we actually paid the usual parking charge a week or so later and it was accepted by Gatwick’s payment system so technically whilst it was late, it was accepted so therefore not a debt!

Also is there any difference in sending a response letter via post or doing via email?

Look forward to your advice.

frankly have been awaiting the court letter for which you have provided a helpful response template letter for that stage.
But what you describe IS that letter. You've got a LBC.

Of course you don't post your reply! For now just send BY EMAIL the usual reply you saw. Use the resource thread as intended and send the bog standard LBC response.

Please don't post it here. We don't need to check the template reply for LBCs.
And please don't post their template response (when you get it) either. Search the forum for some words from it instead.

We'll see you in the Summer at claim form stage when you need us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
