Carers Allowance Current Wait Time

Applied for Carers Allowance online just over a month ago, the email I received said I should get a decision in about 6 weeks but that it may take longer. I've read elsewhere that it can take up to 12-15 weeks. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a decision recently and how long their wait was.

    The last I heard it was taking around 12 weeks to deal with new claims.

    I applied on the 8th March 2025 and I’m still waiting! The worse is that you can’t speak to anyone about it. 😟
    it’s disgusting that no one seems to be accountable!
